1. Before travelling abroad, traveler should study the information about the custom regulation of each country. In some countries like Singapore, Malaysia, it is prohibited to bring explosive items, guns or narcotics into their country. The violation of their regulation could cause to the death penalty.
2. The traveler should never take anything from strangers or other persons.
3. Always remember or have with you the contact address and telephone number of That Embassy Consulate where you can ask for assistance in case of emergency.
4. Passport is a very important document when travelling. Always keep a copy of your passport. In case of lost, please contact the local police for a police report and contact the Embassy as quickly as possible for new travel document.
5. Remember to check the validity of your visa. In case of visa expired, traveler might have to pay for the overstay or be jailed or expelled from the country.
6. In case of emergency / accident, traveler can contact the Thai Embassies / Consulate for assistance.
7. If you plan to stay long period, you should inform Thai Embassy / Consulate of destination country about your address and whenever there's a change of your address so that the Embassy / Consulate will be able to contact you in case of emergency.

BUPA Travel Health Insurance provides essential protection against unpredictable expenses and losses which can happen to anyone when travelling on business or for pleasure.
Now you and your family can travel around the world fully protected by World-wide Travel Health Insurance from BUPA. You will be reimbursed for the cost of medical treatment including surgery, hospitalization, ambulance and paramedic services, medicines and diagnostic tests that arise from accidental injury or illness during you period of cover.
The first 1,000 baht of each and every claim per disabillity or injury is not insured.
For persons covered under the Gold Travel Plan BUPA has an agreement with SOS International to provide emergency medical assistance including evacuation and repartriation of the covered person or his/her mortal remains. You must be more than 150 kms away from your home at the time of the emergency and such evacuation or repatriation must be authourzed in advance by SOS International.
If you should suffer a serious accident resulting in permanet total disablement, loss of limbs, total loss of sight in one or both eyes, or death, BUPA will pay the full sum insured as shown under the personal accident benefit in your policy.

Improtant notes

• We do not cover medical expenses for children under 6 weeks and persons over 70 years of age.
• Children under 16 years old must be accompanied by a parent.
• We do not provide personal accident cover for children aged under 6 years. The personal accident benefit is limited to 150,000 baht for children aged between 6 and 15 years old inclusive.
• This insurance is available up to a maximum of 180 days.

Exclusions
Although you will be covered for the majou costs of treatment, there are certain things that BUPA has to exclude. Full detail of these can be found in your policy documentation.

The main exclusions are as follows:

• Medical and physical conditions which existed prior to the commencement of cover.
• Child birth, pregnancy and conditions related to pregancy, investigations and treatment for fertility.
• Self-injury, intoxication and drug abuse.
• Drugs not prescribed by a physician.
• Hazardous activities including winter sports and scuba diving.
• Dental treatment.
